Snoezle®
Snoezelen is an activity offered to people with intellectual disabilities, advanced dementia, autism, EVMB, other,... The client is placed in a room for a shorter or longer time where muted light effects, images and sounds exert a stimulating or calming influence.
Snoezle often takes place in a snoezle room. Snoezle® brings the snoozing experience to the user in a mobile way, in his or her familiar surroundings.
The entire edge of the Snoezle® is equipped with 370 separate LEDs that together bring a light show. The LEDs are protected in a silicone sleeve. This light show is fully synchronised with the audio and customised by theme.
The Snoezel module that controls light and sound contains 4 different themes: Underwater, The Forest, By the Sea and Space. Each theme exists in 2 versions: an intense and a quiet mode.
The intense mode is a more stimulating mode. In this mode, there is a bit more activity in light and sound. The quiet mode is more relaxing, less stimulating.
Setting up a Snoezle® consists of 3 steps and takes only 10 seconds.
1. Unfold the Snoezle®.
2. Attach the module
3. Connect to the power cable (or battery)
One press of the button and wonderful snoozing is available.
The Snoezle® can be folded into a flat disc for easy storage.
The best way to clean your Snoezle® is to use universal disinfecting wipes. Thorough cleaning can be done by unzipping the textile from the tent frame. The textile can be washed in a hand wash programme at max 60°C, no bleach, no tumble dryer, hang to dry.
The Snoezle® is made with a rough target group in mind and can therefore take a beating. The tent is made from a non-tearing polyester textile, the sound module from a strong plastic.
The Snoezle® can be used on the floor or on the bed.
The Snoezle stand for use above a seat or wheelchair is available separately and is height-adjustable.
